Autumn Tag

I found these tag questions from THIS blog and thought I would answer them because Autumn is my favourite time of the year. 

Favourite thing about Autumn? 
I love so much to do with Autumn, but my favourite thing is probably the weather. I really don't like hot weather and I feel Autumn is great because it gets chilly enough to wear jumpers.


Favourite drink?
Cinnamon hot chocolate is so so good.

Favourite candle/scent?
My favourite autumn scent is when you go outside after its rained and the air is fresh. I'm not a big candle person because I'm not allowed to burn them at home but I also quite like cinnamon and other spice scents.
 
Best lipstick?
I love to wear dark lipsticks in the Autumn and my favourites are MUA shade 1, Rimmel 380 Dark Night Waterl-oops! and Topshop Hazard. When I'm not wearing dark shades, I tend to reach for Natural Collection Raspberry, Collection Cream Puff in Cotton Candy 1 and MUA Shade 11.

Go to colours for the eyes?
I love to do a quite a natural nude and brown eye with winged eye liner, but sometimes if I'm going out I might do a smokey eye with shimmery and matte browns.

Favourite outfit to wear?
I like to wear anything that is comfortable. I'm all about the oversized jumpers and ankle boots, but if I'm feeling more fancy I will go for a dress and wool tights. I also love to wear really big checked flannel shirts with leggings and doc martens.
 
Autumn treat?
I love spiced baked apple crisps or curiously cinnamon cereal just in a bowl without milk makes a great snack (not a very healthy one though!)

Favourite place to be?
Honestly my favourite place to be is in my house,
 
What do you do to get into the Autumn spirit?
Not a huge amount, I normally just feel autumnal when it gets a bit colder.
 
What is your favourite Autumn activity?
Probably seeing my friends, going for dinners or going to the cinema or staying at home and watching a film. I also love going on country walks with my family and pub lunches afterwards.

 
Scarves, hats or gloves?
All of them! If I have to chose one then it would be hats, I love a good bobble hat.

How do you decorate for Autumn?
I never really decorate for autumn, but this year I bought a GURLI throw blanket from Ikea and I'm planning on making some cushions so that will be my decoration.

What is your favourite Halloween/Autumn movie? 
Honestly I don't like many halloween films and right now I can't think of the ones I do like. As for the autumn movies, I'm sure there are loads I've seen that I love but I can't think of any on the spot.


What is one song that puts you in the Autumn mood?




I dont really have a specific song but I'm loving Bring Me the Horizon's new album, That's The Spirit, that came out last week and its autumn so does that count?

Do you prefer to be indoors or outdoors?
I like to be indoors when its raining and outdoors when it's not so I guess my answer is both!

VMAs 2015 Fashion

The VMAs were the other day and they were great, my personal highlight was Taylor Swift and her squad on the red carpet. The performances were amazing and I'm in full support of Kanye running for president in 2020. 

I know I have only just done an awards show fashion post but it just so happened the VMAs were now and I actually really enjoy these posts because I love looking at the red carpet looks anyway, so why not post about it.

Teen Choice Awards 2015 Fashion

So the teen choice awards were last night and as usual there were some amazing red carpet looks. I thought i would share some of my favourites here with you.

Lucy Hale wearing a Julien Macdonald dress. I love how edgy this is, but with a sophisticated twist with the black multi strap heels.

Sarah Hyland wearing Christian Siriano crop top and shorts co-ordinate. The bright yellow makes the simple two piece stand out. It is also quite wearable for those of us not ever on the red (or blue) carpet.

Grace Helbig looking amazing in this pale salmon bodycon dress.

Keke Palmer wearing a beautiful Giulietta dress. I love the majority of it being which but with the black outlines and pink accents.

Robbie Amell and Italia Ritchie with Italia wearing a dress from Alice and Olivia.

Sabrina Carpenter wearing a dress by Marchesa Notte. This is definitely one of my favourite looks of the night as I love the sheer mesh sleeves and chest area and the dark florals add an Autumnal feel.

Yara Shahidi wearing a lovely one shoulder Rubin Singer dress.

Skylar Astin wearing Ted Baker. I like the simple mismatch jacket and trousers with the polkadot shirt.

Maia Mitchell wearing Giamba. The all white look with her slicked back ponytail and strappy minimalist sandles create a sophisticated look.

Bea Miller wearing a maroon cutout jumpsuit, leather jacket and wooden platform boots. This is also one of my favourite out of the looks i have chosen because of how its so different from most of the other red carpet looks.

A trend I noticed this year was strappy heels. I love the minimalist look, but I can't see myself wearing any anytime soon. I think I'm more of a boot girl. Overall I think this year there was a good collect of looks and no horrendous turn outs, which I think is a pretty good result.

My Fashion Basics

Hey so I thought I would do a post about my fashion basics and basically what I wear on a daily basis. I understand that black is not everyone's cup of tea but I literally wear nothing else apart from the odd maroon or dark purple top. I used to wear very minimal amounts of black, sticking to blue and stripes, but I guess as I have got older I just find myself drawn to any black clothing.

This is sort of a combination of my spring, summer and autumn wardrobe because it doesn't really change through the year, I just layer more when its cold. In winter I wear long sleeved tops and jumpers and coats, but as its getting to summer (not really in the UK, but it's meant to be) I felt no need to include those at the moment.

I mainly shop at H&M and Topshop because its the most relevant for basics and convenient for me as there are shops about 15 minutes from where I live. I also really like the quality of their clothes and have never had a problem with the products. Other shops I shop at are Urban Outfitters, Primark and Dirty Harry.

Sorry this isn't the most interesting post, I'm still trying to come up with ideas for things but I'm sure I will get there and get this blog up and running once again. If you read this, please comment what your basics are, because I would love to know. :)
